Interstitial lung disease, including hypersensitivity pneumonitis, may occur in individuals taking treatment with Riluzole. Discontinue treatment promptly in case interstitial lung disease (ILD) develops.

Riluzole is contraindicated in women with pregnancy. Clinical experience with this medication in pregnant women is lacking. Riluzole is also contraindicated in breast-feeding women. It is not known whether this medicinal product is excreted in human milk.

Warn patients about the potential for vertigo or dizziness, and advise them not to drive or operate machinery in case these symptoms occur. No studies on the effects of the potential to drive and use machines have been done.
